| For those of you who don't know what a Joshua Tree is, this is an example of a rather old one. This is also the area where the B-24 came down. Brenden Jordan and I searched this area several months ago, but had no luck locating the exact site. The Joshua Tree, which is more like a cactus, doesn't grow just anywhere on the desert. Some areas are covered with the trees, and other areas don't have any at all. (photo by Don Jordan) |
